You don't see a great deal of capes anymore gracing the shoulders of gentleman at least not in the good O'l USA. Hemingway was a fan, Orson Welles and Gary Cooper the same.
Capas Sesena in Madrid has been making capes since 1901 and is the only company to continue that tradition since then. When my wife and I made our first trip to Madrid many years ago I purchased one for her. Timeless, simple and utilitarian. If you need a quick blanket for an impromptu pik-nik in the park..voila'
I'm waiting to get mine. I need a few years, the beard needs to grey and more belly will accentuate the piece.
