Chasing game in Africa conjures up many an image, typically the big 5. However if there is an animal that sparks the curiosity of almost everybody it is the Warthog. These rugged beasts are very weary and very tough. If you don't see them first you will not harvest a Warthog. This lad took two .300 win mag blows to bring down. The first in the vitals and the second in the breast plate and still kept moving for at least 40 yards. I celebrated his strength at the table that night dining on Warthog riblets and his tenderloin. I have shot hogs in the states and their meat is wonderful, this guy however proved to be one of the best ever. Godspeed Warty!
