The replacement for the 911 came down as much to timing as anything else. My short list was concise and travel was an expected cost. However, my neighbor and personal shopper when it comes to vintage auto's amazingly found a well preserved 1993 Mercedes Benz 500E in state. Two days later a test drive, followed by inspection then final blessing from the neighbor. What I got was a rare, super sedan that only the guys that know know.
Each one was hand built, over eighteen days, between Mercedes and Porsche's shops. What a story.
