In my preparations for Africa I have decided to bring a good, reliable folding knife as opposed to the standard fixed blades I typically use when hunting in the states. Travel considerations including weight and airport bullshit played heavily in this decision. I decided to go with my favorite Knife company, Knives of Alaska. The Denali folding blade is a perfect choice. It has a rugged D-2 tool-steel blade and large pivot pins with a blaze orange handle so I don't lose it in the bush.
