The most documented example of modernist residential architecture in the Denver metro area is Arapahoe Acres, a remarkable neighborhood in Englewood developed by Edward Hawkins. Here, Hawkins partnered with architects Sternberg and Dion between 1949 and 1957 to build 124 modernist homes.
The first post-World War II residential subdivision listed as a historic district in the National Register of Historic Places.
