One of the more interesting things about the SCI show is the inclusion of great art and artists that focus on the hunting industry to develop their medium. Capturing the essence of wild animals and allowing these magnificent beasts to live through art is a passion of many hunters and collectors. Mike Barlow of Livingston, Montana is one of the standouts (artist) of the show in my opinion. His talent was commissioned this year by SCI to create a African moment which was dedicated to the wife of the late, great hunter, Dan Duncan. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of that amazing piece. I did however pick up a little gem for myself, a bronze Cape Buffalo to hang around my neck.
