Years ago, before I ever made it to England my father would always mention the little place he likes to stay at while in London, Dukes Hotel on St. James Place. My first visit was in 1996 and since then, I too choose Dukes when visiting London...albeit the cost. One of the features that draws many visitors is the bar at Dukes. Hands down the best Martini I have experienced. Doesn't hurt that William Evans Ltd. is right around the corner when your tipsy and fancy a new, bespoke double.
