I happen upon interesting things while hunting. This years Wild Turkey hunt was no exception. Hidden in the plains of Nebraska are a few original dugouts. The dugout played a significant and important role in the settlement of the Great Plains prior to modern transportation, when the availability of mass produced building materials allowed more permanent structures to be built.
